Katy Baker – Sing Out in Summer (Classical)

Katy has been singing from the age of 16, when she was in the British premiere of Leonard Bernstein’s Mass. After leaving Exeter University, Katy taught music in a large Primary school for four years, whilst studying singing and performing with the award winning show ‘Divas on Stage.’ Having left teaching, Katy formed Bel Canto, the internationally successful classical vocal duo, with singing partner Julie Willis. In 2007, Bel Canto were invited into Tiverton Primary Schools to promote singing of all styles and The Devon Initiative for Vocal Arts in Schools Project (The D.I.V.A.S. Project) was formed. Katy has worked extensively teaching singing in schools, and also teaches singing at The Willow Tree Centre for Performing Arts. She continues to work professionally singing with Bel Canto, both in the U.K. and abroad.
